Gymnastics at the Y = The Good Life!
This year's Olympics was filled with winners from every sport - but it also created a big buzz around all things Gymnastics!
Now the competitions are done and life goes back to the "norm," filled with new endorsements and interviews.
The YMCA Woodmont Program Center, in Arlington, VA, also has its sight set on keeping their momentum. Recently the center's girls team, The Angels, were spotlighted in The Sun Gazette for their wins...bringing home over 100 medals in a Nationwide YMCA Gymnastics championship. Director, Joe D'Emidio said that this was the most medals the team has ever brought back from a competition. And with the recent excitement surrounding the Olympics, the already noted program, is filling at a rapid pace.
"We have the best staff here, of about 28 people," said D'Emidio "When parents come here and see our staff in action, they are please with the quality of work they do and how friendly we all are." At the Woodmont program, students also learn time management, team building, and they make lasting friendships!
