Hooray for Healthy Living at YMCA Arlington!
Today at YMCA Arlington was all about Healthy Living!
Campers in "Super Hero Camp" had a blast learning about ways to be healthy, fighting germs and the importance of having a healthy smile.
The Alliance for Consumer Education brought their germ fighting superhero, Ace Clean, to battle his villain counterpart, Professor Grime.
The kids hung out with Ace Clean, who fights germs for fun, and even got to watch him defeat Professor Grime, in the name of healthy living! They played a fun Jeopardy-like game, quizzing them on the proper length of time to wash your hands, how to sneeze, and more.
Just as great, Colgate brought their "healthy teeth bus" along, to educate campers on dental hygiene. They enjoyed hanging out with the dental team at Colgate and learning about how to keep a healthy smile.
When asked what foods are good for your teeth, some campers said "strawberries, because they have the right juices and sugars" and another said "some chocolates are good for you....dark chocolate."
Both were right and were given a GRADE-A report card after showing they knew how to clean their teeth and eat right.
Fun times and yet another awesome step in healthy living at the Y.
